“Project RELIEF” Monthly Volunteer Meeting Thursday, February 28th
1:00-5:00pm Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation offers services for an in
home respite program called “Project RELIEF” (Respite for Elders Living in
Everyday Families). Trained Volunteers provide respite care for Alzheimer’s
patients to allow caregivers an opportunity to reduce stress and take time

“Legacy Harbor Caregiver Support Group – Safe Harbor” The 2nd
and 4th Thursday of each month from 1:30-3:00pm Reverend Donna Carey,
a VITAS Innovative Hospice Chaplain, will facilitate this support group
designed for those looking for safe harbor during the storm when faced with
caring for loved ones dealing with dementia and memory loss. Share gentle

Brevard Users Group ( BUG Club) Monday, February 4 at 2:00pm The
Brevard Users Group (The BUG Club) is a personal computer support group
meeting the first Monday of each month. This group will offer the basics of
learning Windows based computers. This is a great way to learn more about

VITAS Innovative Hospice “Memory Bears” Sewing Club The 2nd
Thursday from 1:00-4:30pm and the 4th Monday from 9:30am-12:00pm
Volunteers meet to share their sewing skills and make “Memory Bears” from
fabrics supplied by family members of patients served through the hospice
program. Favorite clothing items are transformed into a special keepsake
bringing great memories from days gone past. Other sewing projects
include lap quilts and “walker bags” offering multiple pockets to keep items
within reach, while keeping patients more independent and increase their
