The Brevard Chapter of the Florida Outreach Childbirth Education Project offers childbirth classes throughout Brevard County. Learn what is new in preparing for the birth of your baby. Classes cover the components of breathing, relaxation, and position changes to help labor. Classes taught in Spanish are offered. Cost is $50/family unit. The American Heart Association is offering FREE educational presentations to all Brevard County groups and organizations. The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign can empower all women to take positive steps to improving cardiovascular health and prevention of heart disease. Free mammogram and PSA testing. Free mammograms are available to medically uninsured women living in Brevard County and free PSA testing is offered to detect prostate cancer for uninsured men. Last Monday of Every Month. American Cancer Society’s Man to Man program. Are you newly diagnosed with prostate cancer, a prostate cancer survivor, or a spouse or family member of someone who has been touched by prostate cancer? Man to Man’s monthly meeting will be held the last Monday of every month starting from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the Home Builders & Contractors Association located at 1500A West Eau Gallie Blvd.in Melbourne. Man to Man is an educational and support program for men with prostate cancer. Sessions feature expert speakers on topics such as research advances, coping with side effects of treatment, and nutrition. The meetings offer objective, unbiased information about prostate cancer.
